EEA Registration Certificate and Address Card for an Employee in Hungary



EEA Registration Certificate & Address Card (Employee's obligation):

An Employee, who has an EEA citizenship and who stays more than 90 days in Hungary has to obtain an EEA Registration Certificate and report his/her Hungarian address. Both obligations have to be made at the Immigration Office (official name: National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing) within 93 days counted from the date of crossing the Hungarian border when the Hungarian stay is expected to be more than 90 days within a 180-day period of time.

We offer in this service:

  • assist your Employee in filing the application and accompany him/her to the Immigration Office.

  • Pricing:

    In case of more than one Employee, we provide discount from our standard price of 800 EUR*.

    The above fees do not include value added tax and reasonable additional costs, such as costs of posting or courier services (if any).

    Notifications (Employer's obligation):

    An Employer, who employs an EEA National, has immigration related notification obligation towards the Immigration Office (official name: National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing) when the employment relationship ends or the employment relationship fails before it would start. In addition, the Employer has to notify the Government Office when the EEA National's work starts or ends. From this latter obligation the Employer is exempted if the Employee is assigned from another EEA Country (i.e. he/she works for the Hungarian Employer on the basis of his/her employment contract with another employer seated in an EEA country) or the employment relationship between the Employer and Employee does not exist at all.

  • collect information required for the notification,
  • prepare the notification,
  • send the notification to the responsible authority.

    In case of more than one notification, we provide discount from our standard price of 50 EUR*.

    * As an introductory offer we provide 20% discount from our fees above.
