Successful completion of the Hungarian cultural knowledge exam has been a new requirement for applying for the National and EU Residence Card starting from January 1, 2025. In the case of an unsuccessful exam, you will have two additional opportunities to complete it. Therefore, it is advisable to apply for the exam only after thorough preparation.

nVisa will help you prepare!

Along with the introduction of the new requirement, we have further experience indicating that the immigration authority now considers the conditions for issuing National and EU Residence Cards more strictly (livelihood, degree of social integration). Thus, applying for a National or EU Residence Card also requires careful preparation, which often can only be achieved through long-term, well-planned preparation.
