EEA national Researcher staying in Hungary 90 days or less

Researcher's obligation:

An EEA Citizen, who stays in Hungary not more than 90 days, does not need to comply with any immigration formalities. However, he/she needs to make sure that his/her travel document (passport or ID card) by which he/she crossed the Hungarian border remains valid throughout his/her entire stay in Hungary.

Notifications (Higher Education Institution's Obligation):

A Higher Education Institution employing a Researcher with EEA citizenship has immigration relatied notification obligation towards the Immigration Office (official name: National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing) when the employment of the Researcher starts or fails before it would start. In addition, the Higher Education Institution also has notification obligation towards the Government Office on starting or ending the employment relationship. From this latter obligation the Employer is exempt if the Researcher is assigned from another EEA Country (i.e. he/she performs her/hes activity on the basis of his/her employment contract with a different organisation seated in another EEA country) or the employment relationship between the Higher Education Institution and the Researcher does not exist at all.

We help your Higher Education Institution to complete these immigration and working authorisation related notification obligations according to the description below.
